Happy New Year

What a summer so far. We had 70mm of rain just before New Year and it nearly washed everything away. Then many, many days over 40 degrees, was the pool appreciated. It may not have been the clearest water but it was cool. It stayed at 26 degrees in the water but this was cool when the outside temperature was 43degrees. With the aid of one of our new members pool advice we can now report that our pool has gone from a "modesty" pool (you got in and the colour hid everything) to a full nudist pool again.

Our socials have been a fantastic success and will continue to be into 2008.

This will be greatly enhanced by our large influx of new members. Unfortunately for some, River Valley closed. Fortunately for us about about 14 families from there have chosen to come here as new members. They have bought with them new expertise, new equipment and we hope, some new ideas and assistance for Northside. Welcome all and if you are looking for a members owned club to belong to then give us a ring or e-mail us and come and visit. We have had visitors from all over the country as well as a steady stream of overnight guests and prospective members with us all of this holiday time.

We own our land and it is run by the members for the members. Come and give us a try.

Welcome to Northside

Welcome also to our new club grounds, a 70 acre rural property established along a quiet country lane near the central Victorian town of Tooborac.

Join us during the next several months as Northside develops its club grounds into one of Victoria's unique Nudist Clubs.

Already the main building infrastructure is in place and members are enjoying the beauty and tranquillity of our site in which they can practice their unique nudist lifestyle in complete security and privacy.

Our new clubhouse has hosted several socials. Improvements are made to the facilities each month, and members can gather during the evenings or those odd days when the weather prevents outside activities.

Members have already set up a home away from home to which they can escape the stress of daily work, and enjoy their nudist lifestyle.

You too, can enjoy the unique experience nudism has to offer.

Events Calendar

The Calendar is proposed as follows, the events may change but we will try to keep the dates as stated. Full details of each event will be sent around to all members be e-mail or snail mail. As you will notice there are several events to fill so if you feel like showing off your party skills in organizing an event (a theme night? a special meal night?) please contact Donna or any other committee person with your idea. Wouldn't it be great to combine some ideas with others and make another memorable social event for our club?

1/ January 26,27  Australia Day Weekend. The greatest cricket tradition in Tooborac, Northsides' Grudge match between teams representing The Kiwis and The Aussies. This almost makes the boxing day test pale into insignificance (probably will if the Indian Team doesn't show up) another great don't miss fun day and weekend. We are starting on Saturday Morning with a typical country Australia Day breakfast. Orange juice, bacon, eggs, sausages, tomato, baked beans, toast, coffee or tea. Healthy tucker to get our 50th year of Northside going and another good excuse to enjoy our great club.

2/ February 23,24  Rocky Horror Picture Show night. Costumes and the correct attitude needed to come along and enjoy this great event. Costumes can include the wild or the conservative as the characters and the story illustrates. Great music, great company and a great night expected for all ages and all members.

3/ March Labor Day Weekend.   Northside Tennis Competition. Our own Aussie Open. All can join in as it is an open competition with partners drawn for the teams. A terrific fun time for all and it even occasionally gets quite serious too. Remember this is to Northside rules and pairings will be selected by a "hat" draw for the comp. So don't be worried that you are not the best we are our for a good time and the fateful "McEnroe" award will be awarded to the best dummy spit of the weekend.

4/ April Easter Relax, unwind, play some social tennis or maybe rematch the tennis comp. Play some social petanque or just rest and read by the pool. At night enjoy some darts or cards in the club house, just a good relaxing and getting to know you weekend. Share a barby or a beer with all of your friends at our club.

5/  May           AGM 2008

This will be proceeded by the glamorous and entertaining Red Carpet presentation Night. This Tie and Tiara event will be one of the highlights of the year, where all the retiring shy type of Northside show off their trendiest gear. Prizes and awards are offered to those who least expect them, you could be amongst the resipients, but don't try for one or you could end up without or with one you didn't want.

All of the above are liable to change but you will be the first to know when it happens. Your attendance will make it a better function PLEASE be at as many as you can.
