Another new committee year for the club starts in May, and we are looking forward
to it.
We probably won't match the growth in membership of the last 12 months, but
inquiries are steady, and we are still gaining new members.
We all have to learn to be very
water wise and be careful of every drop. Most people are collecting water into
their own tanks and this will certainly help but we must all be conscious of how
much water we use from the community tanks as well. A new tank has been
installed to provide dam water for flushing toilets which will ease the water
usage from the main tanks. Lets hope we get sufficient rain to keep the dam
full.
The growth has heralded a fantastic building boom. If you have not been to
the club lately (why not?) you will certainly notice a heap of new buildings, sites
and facilities.
We have new toilet facilities and plans are underway to construct another toilet and shower block
near the tennis courts.
Our tennis courts have been widened and re-levelled and we don't have to chase
tennis balls up and down the valley as a net fence has been erected by a
dedicated group of members who I suspect didn't like chasing the tennis balls
either. The courts had a good work-out with the Labour Day and Easter
tournaments.
The pool deck and pool fence have been completed, and the pool was well used
over summer.
New roads are in, new sites levelled, and the place is starting to get a
green tinge with our recent rain. The rain has started the trees on their way as well, and just about all of the
direct seeding is starting to produce some growth.
We are growing in more ways than one so why not come and join us in a great
place with great members and terrific socials. We are not called "The
friendly alternative" for nothing.

Welcome to Northside
Welcome also to our new club grounds, a 70 acre rural
property established along a quiet country lane near the central Victorian
town of Tooborac.
Join us during the next several months as Northside develops
its club grounds into one of Victoria's unique Nudist Clubs.
Already the main building infrastructure is in place and
members are enjoying the beauty and tranquillity of our site in which they
can practice their unique nudist lifestyle in complete security and
privacy.
Our new clubhouse has hosted several socials. Improvements
are made to the facilities each month, and members can gather during the
evenings or those odd days when the weather prevents outside activities.
Members have already set up a home away from home to which
they can escape the stress of daily work, and enjoy their nudist lifestyle.
You too, can enjoy the unique experience nudism has to
offer.

Events
Calendar
The calendar of events may change
but we will try and keep to the dates as stated. Full
details of each event will be sent around to all members by email or snail mail.
As you will notice there is an event in September to fill so if you feel like
showing off your party skills in organizing the event (a theme night? a special
meal night?) please contact Bev or any other committee person with your idea.
Wouldn't it be great to combine some ideas with others and make another
memorable social event for our club?
May 16th & 17th,
2009 Annual General Meeting.
Our AGM is scheduled for Sunday
May 17, preceded by another great night at the "Red Carpet" awards
presentation and the "Tie & Tiara Dinner" on the Saturday evening. Awards will
be handed
out for the sporting events held during the last 12 months and for people who helped in some
special way during the
year. Some may not have known they helped until their names are announced by
the MC for the evening.
June 6th to 8th, 2009 Queens
Birthday weekend.
Hopefully we will have our
'fire pit' dinner of soup, meat and damper. Will will be asking members to let
us know if they are coming closer to the time for catering purposes. There will
be plenty of other activities organised over the weekend.
July 11th & 12th, 2009
Christmas In July at the Club.
We have grown too big to hold
this at the usual place in previous years so it will be at the club and if
everyone shows up we may have to think about expanding the club house as another
project. Again more info will be issued to members closer to the event.
September 2009
Events & dates to be announced. (Can you help?????).
October 31st to
November 1st, 2009 Melbourne Cup weekend and Petanque
Competition.
December 12th, 2009
Progressive Christmas dinner.
This is one of the main social
events of the year that members look forward to. Starting with sherry & nibbles
somewhere within the club grounds, moving onto entree's at another location,
staggering down to the clubhouse for mains, and then if you have the strength
and room in your stomach, out into the warm (we hope) night air for sweets. Then
it's back into the clubhouse to keep up with the party people!
December 31st, 2009 to January
3rd, 2010 New Years Eve celebrations.
Another opportunity to let your
hair down and dress up. The theme of the night will be announced closer to the
date.
All of the above are liable
to change but you will be the first to know when it happens. Your attendance
will make it a better function. PLEASE be at as many as you can.
